I have had this for years, came from wifes grandathers box, it fits a SB9 compound perfect, seems to have some kind of wedge missing never seen another, so its from gramps 1920s or 1930s shop years. sp Attachments:

It resembles a Hardinge toolpost, but not quite. It's probably from some sort of lathe like a Rivett, or Elgin,, just my guess anyway

If you had the other half of the wedge, you would have a very nice quick hight adjustable tool holder.

I think it's a back tool post from small turret lathe. It's missing the wedge.
