I have some simple questions, I need help with, On most mills what is each graduation, ? If I was wanting to face mill 10mm of a block but the machine is in standard how would I figure that? I have trouble understanding standard measurement and saying they number like .001 , ANYONE ONE THAT WOULD HELP ME , I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT YOU, CAN EMAIL ME AT sandm24@att.net Mark

The dials will indicate actual movement of the table. The dial may be different depending whether the leadscrews are metric or English. Set up a dial indicator and measure for yourself how far table moves for one turn of the dial. Also look carefully at the micrometer dials. Sometimes they are marked to indicate what the divisions are.
